    i plan on purchasing the diablo battle chest and was wondering if battle.net is online.

    Battle.net is still going strong.
    Mostly hosting Starcraft matches so we can get our asses handed to us by 12 year old Koreans. Damn I loved Starcraft, but stopped playing due to the lack of evenly matched opponents available. Can't wait for SC2 tho... OK, that was a little off topic.

    yeah its quite impressive when you consider how long its been going and theres still 20k+ people playing of the uswest server everyday! Just for D2

    Indeed it's incredible. You've got to admire Blizzard, they certainly have got the pulse of the gaming public. One hell of a success story.
    Diablo 2 certainly put the G in Grind, but what a ride. Here's waiting on Diablo 3.:rock:
