Just been reading about this and was about to post it but it's already here :p

Look very interesting, tempted to give it a try.

lol thats the article ive sourced on post 1 hehe

the problem with that ic7 paste the particles are like 40-50Micron particles of diamond, where as 6 1 or .5 micron should yeild much better results

got an email back from Logitech today they have no samples in the lab currently but they have offered me a discount so that's positive

    I'll keep you updated !

he was measuring the heat sink temp, not the cpu, what if the mix acted as an insulator? shouldn't the heat sink get hotter?

hehe it could be a bit confusing I dont think measuring HS temp is probably the most accurate way to measure but I'm not sure ><

I have looked at a few different ways to test the heat hardOCP/Intels - see page 77 being the best but I don't know weather it is feesable for me as I still need it to be within my capabilities/range

so I may use a mix of board temps and thermo-couple

however I'm looking to highlight the difference between different pastes so I think that although temps may not be actual real world (offset a few degrees either way based on where temperature is taken) they should be consistent i.e if I take a board reading for the core it shows 60deg for AS5 and then measure with the value again with another paste, I will not be concerned that the value is 55 or 65, what I will be looking at is the delta between the 2 values, I know this certainly isn't Perfect, but its within my means, and as a preliminary test it may spark further interest and further and more detailed testing from other with greater knowledge, i just hope I can start something rolling for the community

Measuring heatsink temp is an incredibly poor idea - as I understand it the temperature of the heatsink will be a non-linear dynamic system, changing the paste will most likely have completely different effects.
