So I bought a pair of UltimateEars SuperFi 5's late last year for listening to music on my MP3 player. Upon purchase the right ear-bud would occasionally cut out but I blamed this on the MP3 player as it was old and I had problems with other earphones in the past. After recently getting an iPhone 4 and a set of Creative T40's the problem persisted with these devices so I knew it must have been an issue with the earphones themselves. Apart from this issue, I have been thoroughly pleased with these buds and they are very clear and sound good IMO when both buds are working. Because of this I would have been more than happy to do a straight swap for another pair but upon contacting customer support I was told they were no longer produced so I would have to settle for an alternative. I was given the choice of the Ultimate Ears 300's or the Ultimate Ears 200vi. I chose the 200vi's as they had inline iPhone controls and I am not too fond of the over ear fit of the 300's. Will these new earphones live up to the quality of the SuperFi 5's? I do not want to get a worse pair just because the original was faulty. Any help appreciated, jammy.
Don't know but that is very good of Logitech! They sent me a brand new set of Logitech G35s when mine developed a tiny whine (that only existed when the phones were silent), even though I didn't have a receipt for the original pair. Great customer service.
Yeah the guy on the phone was very friendly and while he asked if I still had proof of purchase he didn't ask for me to send it in or anything so I might as well not have. The reason I am worried is the RRP of the replacements is only £35 when the RRP of the SuperFi 5's was £120 (I got them on sale for ~£50 though)
