:waah: :waah: :waah: The PSU in my good rig has bad cables. Like really bad. I can tap the ATX cable and the system restarts, and several Molex connecters are bad.

So I need a new one. THAT HAS GOOD CABLES. I know of the brands, I need to know what your suggestions are. I've got a budget of cheap is better.

I'm in Canada, so the retailer should be on the same contenent,
It must be under $200 local currency, (CAD) with shipping,
400 - 450 Watts (not max but desired)

    Preferred:
    Vantec
    Zalman
    Antec
    Enermax

Sorry to be a cheap ******* but why don't you just solder some new cables on? :)

And replace 6 Molex, 1 ATX, and the misc connectors?

Don't see why not, just strip down a very cheap or dead PSU and solder the new wires on.

Make sure you get them in the right place though :D

I'd need an old PSU for that. I'd really hate to make something else in my case work poorly.

Q-tec 550w is hard to beat if you're on a budget. The cables have been fine for me.

I can only reccomend Antec True power or a sparkle psus...both work flawlessly in my systems...

wouldnt get an enermax as they often have been reported to have bad 5v lines...

Personally I use a modded Sparkle PSU and find that once I tweaked the pots the 5V & 12V lines are extremely stable.

However, for a budget purchase the QTEX 550W PSU's are very hard to beat )as Adam has said already :)) and I have heard many good things about them, very stable and a decent build for the price, however a liitle on the loud side, but you can just take the fans out and just stick one exhaust fan in there (papst, panaflo, ystech, evercool etc. etc.)
