maybe replace the PSU. they can go dead on you pretty fast if you live in an area with dirty power. a guy i know who lives in canada says he went through like 3 PSU's in a year once, but that was when he didn't know about the dirty power. now he has protection.

this same thing used to happen to me when i tried to reinstall my digital camera. when it would start, the power would cut and it would restart. i thought maybe i didn't have high enough wattage, unplugged all but the essentials and the cam, and it worked!

(but that was only during install. now i have everything plugged in and i can use the camera fine. for some reason it sounds like the camera drew more watts when installing.... :eyebrow: )

EDIT: and the correct spelling is "dying"

Are you getting any Bios error beep codes? If not, it could well be that your CPU has given up the ghost! If you can, try to borrow another suitable CPU to test the other parts of your system.

    it's the main baord :(
my sister has the same mainboard as me, and i took it around her place and started to test bits of it, after a bit of playing around, i got it down to the main baord , and looks like some ram is dead as well
hole well, that main board had a good long run
