A couple days ago I got me a nifty digi doc 5 (must get blue leds!). Anyways, the display had problems. Some segments wouldnt activate. I noticed that if i pushed forward on the front pbc board, all segments lit, yippeee! So i tried just pushing and fiddling with it for a while...................................................................................................... Three hours later i had the bright idea to stuff something between the two pbcs! I grabbed the closest thing that would separate the boards. Ah ha! A gum wrapper! (Smishes it up to fit) There! Now all i have to do is.... get.... it down .... between..... there.... BZZUTZZZMWAZZZ! (SMALL PUFFS OF SMOKE FESTERING OUT FROM BETWEEN BOARDS) AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! (yank!) i hope i didnt break anything!....... wait a minute........ it works now! no pressure required! HOORAY! i guess the tin/aluminum/what ever the heck metalic substance shorted it out. Why it works now, i have no idea. I guess i should have remembered "Hunny, we shurnk ourselves" The movie, where the Zalinskis use a gum wrapper to conduct electricity to turn the speaker into a microphone. I WOULD NOT remcomend anyone else do this.
what flavor? I want to know because i have a MO lcd that isnt working quite right. I want to make sure I get the right one, only the best for my computer...
