I have a old kodak dc 25 and it has a massive onboard memory of 2mb :cries: i want to put in another memory card. As the camera is older will there be a limit on the size of card i can put in?
That depends on the media type. CompactFlash is an interesting one, because theoretically, you can put any size compact flash card into a CF device, because the controller is built into the card, rather than the device. This does mean there's a considerable performance difference between cards of different makes, but that's another story. What sort of media does the camera use? If CF, then chances are you can use a larger card. The documentation for my Nikon Coolpix 700 suggests that it can take a maximum of a 64MB card, but that's only because that's the largest that Nikon sold at the time. I use a 128MB Dane Elec card in it, and it's very fast and doesn't have any problems. However, since the memory is 2MB, that suggests that the resolution and consequently file size is very low, so an 8MB or 16MB card should be fine, and I would not envisage any problems with such a card. I suggest looking it up on kodak's website to see what they say about it.
