    hey all,

i have a program that requires directsound but fails when no speakers a repluged in due to windows 7 thinking no audio device is installed.

can i disable this warning and make windows 7 accept that i may not want something plugged in ?

    thanks in advance

its CCTV software but thats not where the issue is since windows the program is just asking windows about the sound and is told its not working.

The mobo is a ASROCK G41M-GS.

im usually not a fan of ASrock but it has all the features needed for the CCTV build which my usually fav brands like asus or gigabyte dont.

ive had a Asus G41 board and that worked just fine with windows not fussed wether a 3.5mm jack was plugged in before sound worked.

Go to the Sound control panel. In the Playback tab, right click and show Disconnected and Disabled devices. Right click on every device and disable in.

Or grab a cheap pair of earphones and tuck them out the way?
