So, on may 24th, dirt 3 is going to be released, and I have decided I want to play the game to the best and get the best out of it! So I'm wanting to purchase a Steering wheel to be used on PC. I have a MAXIMUM budget of under £70. It will be used for DiRT 3 and future racing/driving games etc..
none worth buying at that price mate, lowest end i would go is the Logitech Driving Force GT which is about £100 new, so you may get lucky on ebay.
goto the argos website and see the stock avalibility of the driving force gt. everywhere i looked was £100+ for one, but argos had one local for £85
Looking at the Logitech website the GT for PS3 is PC compatible as well. GT Wheel on Logitechs site Click on specifications
I have one and i use it mainly on PC. It comes with a PC driver disk. Wheel is great with Grid, Dirt 2, Shift 2, GTR 2 etc etc. For that price, i would deffo recommend
Driving Force GT is under £80 at Argos although from what I hear they sell stock FAST. A few people I know use one on PS3 and say it's great. I almost got one but really wanted the improved pedals (and clutch), H-Shifter, etc of the G27. One good thing about DFGT is the shifter is sequential. You could use the flappy paddles to change gears and assign the up/down of the gearstick to be the handbrake. I wish I could do that with the G27 on GT5 to be honest for rally stages.
I suggest the Driving Force GT too, just make sure when you install the drivers on first boot up, you click not to check for new software Otherwise it takes ages to load With it un-ticked it takes a second
