Nothing to big. Got the 2 top shock mounting plates finished ready to install. Picked up a Battery Isolation switch and a starter push buttom. Just looking for a fuel tap and hose adaptors now.
Photo of the bits I have been getting this week. Been busy installing floor tabs and side tabs. Got them all done now. As it is at moment. Slowly getting there. Just think what is used to look like. And a side photo do show the angle of the middle rail. Going to work on the rear of the buggy tomorrow.
What a great bit of kit!!! Decided on the final colours yet? Kawasaki did a car years ago and I managed to find an image of it for you. They've never repeated it as far as I'm aware: http://thekneeslider.com/archives/2006/01/25/kawasaki-factory-auto-racing/ Food for thought?
Spent a lot of time just cleaning things up today and ordering parts. Popped into town again today and got some more parts. more bits for fuel system and a rear tail LED light. Cut about 3mm off the left side for chain clearance as it was rubbing. Picked up a set of Kawasaki ZXR250 calipers for the front of the buggy. Will have to modify the uprights to fit them. Shouldnt be to hard as they look like they are very close to what they have pictured in the plans. They need a clean up. Got a fuel tap off a late model Suzuki Bandit 1200cc. Will fit nicely into the tank. Going to be working on the plate for the rear light to mount on to tomorrow.
Woah woah woah! Finish the buggy first, I want to see this thing in neon colours and barely-there bodywork already!
Not a lot new. But have got all the tabs installed. Installing the rear light. Found this on the quad bike that mite be handy on the buggy for the brakes.
Thanks. LOL I think im bit of a crazy man myself but I better not start talking to myself or I mite get locked up.
Picked up alloy for roof and sun visior on friday. Got some rubber mounts for thread rod out each side. For mounting the fuel tank. Also on friday i picked up some 16mm threaded rod and nuts, washers and spacers. For the frontend install. 3 bolts made to hold the plates square for setting up the frontend and welding. Test fit. Top plates. How im going to get the flat. Another bolt made for this. Made some longer bolts to hold it all together after i weld the other plates together with short bolts. Test fit. Still got to make some 200mm long spacers for bottom bolts. Going to start on mounting the roof panel tomorrow.
Nice work as usual Can't wait to see this thing finished... you're starting to remind me of G69T with all the custom made pieces You just need some money shots, where you're using the a drill while some white oil is splashing all over it
Little update. Picked up some stuff. Cable ties, heat shrink, cable sleeving. Got my other spaces for the front end. Front end bolted with spaces in place. Had to file some parts to get it to fit into frame nicely. Marked out the spot where I have to notch the frame. Going to be cutting the notch in frame tomorrow I think. See how things go.
Thanks, Yikes a new work bench. Me and pop made on saturday. Sunday / today. Got engine back in and the rear end all back in and was sorting out little bits. Still got to strip the shocks and clean and repaint them. Got the spacers for the top and bottom of the shocks. Got to sort out a way to mount the exhausts. Got 3 weeks off over xmas so you know what i will be doing.
Nothing new but have been working on firewall and fuel tank design. Made this little video clip / slideshow of the photos back to the last photos in the other video i made. Will save some people looking at every page waiting for photos to load. Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMrXWcewLuM Will have some new updates soon for you all.
