foreva! basically you have to take care of your sleeping beasties, like blink carry them onto a ledge.
Just finished my third play-through - there's enough variation and challenge to make it enjoyable to play several times; and I find new things every time I play. Plus, the bonus of arriving at a scene with a different set of tools/weapons from the last time you encountered it can change your entire approach, going forward. I love this game.
Cool, so need use them more I assume they won't turn to dust when hit when I have second tier of shadowkill activated?
Sleeping foes will only turn to dust if they die. i.e. you dump them in water, pitch them over a cliff/high drop or leave them for the rats. I tend to dump them in those large refuse skips with the slide-over lid - it guarantees they won't be discovered too.
I started new mission - getting to the brothel and assassinate twins I got a new pair of decent headphones yesterday and have to say this game has some really cool sounds. Never heard it before when played on speakers!
Or so you would think... I got a clipping error with one so the blokies leg somehow stuck out of th top even when the lid was closed (i threw him in a bit awkwardly) - and then the guards found him, and then I had to kill them all and reload. I do that alot! Save, go on a killing spree, reload, do it stealth.
Yeah, I have done that several times - jolly good fun. I'm about to embark on a zero kill campaign this weekend. After which, if successful, I think I'll try a no prisoners approach, and slot every living soul I can find.
I'm not chasing achievements (assuming there is a zero kill one), I just decided to play through the game without killing anyone. I am, in general, not a fan of achievements. IMO they're usually there to pad out a game, or give you a hat for killing thirteen pigeons in five seconds, with a spatula; or something equally pointless.
I think I want to try a full rampage runthrough next..I was too cautious in the first few levels last time round instead of revelling in bad-assery.
I've played few missions and strangely they were pretty quick - when I mastered stealth moving, it was so easy fast-jump around places and get to the target in couple of minutes. Now I'm at the mission where I got back to the tower and I'm after that Regent guy.... Looks like there are 4 mission ahead of me and game will end. Sounds like pretty short game, doesn't it?
10-15 hours I'd say, depending on your style. My second play-through was about 7 though, I skipped a lot of the dialogue.
@phinix: How much of the sidequests do you actually skip ? There are at least 2 side quests in nearly every mission (except the last one i think).
Yeah I got about 12-13 hours on my first play through, but a little longer on the more stealthy attempts. Anyone tried the DLCs for it? Any good?
Finished the game last night. I liked it very much. It showed some new bits that weren't seen in other games, in a nice little combo I guess it would be worth to play it again in the future.
