I have been having a couple of issues for a over a year now. They aren't anything major, just slight inconveniences. Just thought I would see if anyone has had the same issues or knows a fix. Specs are in sig (but my graphics card is actually HD4890) My monitor is my TV connected through hdmi > hmdi-dvi adapter > gfx card Issue 1 I always put my computer to sleep. On wake, my computer powers up (lights come on, fans spin etc), but there is no display. As far as I can see, my gfx card is powered up, it's just my TV isn't detecting anything (?). This happened with 2 different gfx cards I tried. This isn't consistent, and most of the time everyone comes on fine. I tend to find I am more successful if I turn my TV on first, then power up my computer. I am not sure if this is only on wake or if the same will happen when powering on and off too. It can be fine for months (leaving my computer in sleep overnight and waking in the morning), but then there will be a time when it doesn't display. Could be after a day, could be 3 months. Issue 2 Whilst my computer is on, if I turn my TV off and back on again all the windows will have changed size and moved to the top left corner (a bit like if I were to lower the resolution and then change it back). Not entirely sure on timings, and I think it might also happen if I leave my computer idle for a long time and the power option kicks in to turn my monitor off. I assume these problem are down to my TV and because it isn't really designed to be a PC monitor. Any ideas? Thanks.
I cant think of any specific things to help Im afraid but if it were me I would look through the TV settings menu just out of curiosity, see if there is anything related to inputs. Also check you have the latest drivers for your gfx card.
Nothing in TV settings. Don't have latest drivers, but the last few have had nothing to do with my card (they are to improve performance for the 7XXX series)
