I was running 1360x768 resolution on my computer with an HIS 5750 and a viewsonic VA1901wm monitor. Yesterday when i tried to play fsx suddenly the screen size decreased and 2 black and empty strips appeared on the sides of the monitor. So i quit fsx. But then it was there on my desktop too. But then by using the setting in the monitor i was able to make those blacked out areas disappear to a great extent. But still there is a smaller strip on the right side of the monitor. I tried recalling the memory on my monitor, resetting my graphics card to defaults, using auto image adjust on my monitor, changing resolutions etc.. but still my monitor is not normal as it used to be. The image on the monitor doesnt seem to be sharp and especially the text looks blurred. What could be the reason for this? How can i correct it?
Problem solved. It was some resolution setting. Instead of the correct 1366x768 ive used 1360x768. It was not there in the windows resolution settings. But when to the catalyst control center and found it.
