hi guys i need your help with something (as always ). i have a problem with the graphics card and the display. when i turn on my computer it starts up and i see the mobo manufactures page and then windows loads but then the screen goes blank and the monitor says "out of range" but the computer starts up as i here vista does its login noises. so what could be the problem, it is not the display as i tested the computer with a different monitor and the samething happens with that one to. so can you help me here as i am completely stomped by this. this happened after i changed my mobo
"Out of range" means the resolution set in windows is higher than the monitor can handle. IE: if the resolution is set to be 1920 x 1200 but the monitor is 1440 x 900. This should reset itself though when the computer is turned back on. if you can try start in safe mode and set the resolution to the monitors native res then that should fix this.
i tryed what you sudjested slizza but to no avail as it dosen't want to apply. i got in to safe mode moved the res down to nativ res and still does same thing even though i pressed apply. the thing is nothing happens when i press apply just stays the same and goes back to the res it was on.
that's strange.. go in safe mode and uninstall the video driver in device manager.. reboot and you should get the vga driver- then reinstall it
