    1st attempt.

A bit rough around the edges, but know where and how to do better.

the plan is to cut these out of the case itself.

1st step, get a pumpkin lantern templet and double sided tape to the acrylic, and then cut.

    Then remove templete
and tweak as you see fit.

and test place over a fan.

I've used 5 different cutting tools and experimented as I went.

Also used 3 different types of tool to tweak.

And tried a dremel with about 10 different types of bit.

I've found the best combo now.

Curved cuts best with a scroll saw with a spiral bit
Straight cuts, use dremel wheel to get a straight narrow holw, then use a hacsaw blade held in my hand.

    To Smooth..
For large inside edges rough sandpaper.
For small inside edge precision needle files.

And avoid the dremel at all costs EXCEPT for the first cut on a straight line

They make some little diamond drill bits that work good with a dremel for stuff like this, (with an adjustable collet.) I also love to use an 1/8" drill bit and router cut.

Is the pumpkin template anything like a printable adhesive backed sheet? I love that stuff.

nice job, shame about the crappy air flow. Ah well can't have both I guess.
