The Parkside tool section at our local Lidl is like crack cocaine to me...

BTW I've now just bought this:

With big mods comes big tooling, apparently...

I just received a 20% off voucher for Parkside bare 20V tools in my Lidl Plus app...
That and a free cake plus a free birthday doughnut for last week!

I spotted a cordless branch cutter in Lidl yesterday, £20. Ideal. Except it didn't come with a battery or charger, I don't already own any Parkside stuff, and Lidl had precisely batteries or chargers in the shop. Annoying!

    Ahhh, fear not.
Lidl no longer have 20V batteries and chargers on display in store, I guess they were getting nicked too often.
Apparently you ask for them at the till

Their website also does a range of tools that do not usually appear in the shop. Like this digital tape measure. 250 Euros for the original (Reekon), 18 Euros for the slightly less function rich but still good Lidl version, Surprisingly robust build, Li-ion rechargable battery.

I also got a cheap laser level with tripod.

The finished costume on-stage at the Royal Armouries - with a friend dressed as Spamton for good measure!

Worked well enought. Had a full weekend of house DIY - filling holes and gaps, caulking around window frames and between skirting boards and the walls on the stairs since there was lots of cracking. Tip run, garden clean up, painting all done as well.

Not got a clue about any of that, who anyone is meant to be or why Comicon is at the Royal Armouries, but I have to say they nailed it, fair play.

After removing my driver side door panel, I discovered that the connector of the mirror was contaminated with verdigris. Many terminals were beyond salvaging so I started to look for replacements. Since Mouser is not shipping to Canada, due to our postal service strike, my best option was Aliexpress with a 3 weeks delivery time. I ended up purchasing a terminal bloc at KGE (King Georges Électronique), my local electronic supplier. After connecting the wires, I filled the terminal areas with dielectric grease, wrapped the bloc in electric tape. Everything works, and it only cost me 5 dollars instead of 35. :thumb:

Yeah, decent. A bit wacky to think there's that much gubbins in a door mirror but my last car even had the GPS antenna in it!

Does anyone know who might stock these in a more local way.

I don't think B&Q do them singularly but i will look today.

I only need one and I can get them online but I have to buy 10 and i know the rest will just sit in a cupboard.

My local hardware store has closed after the owner passed away and they were brilliant for buying single items.

Oops forgot to add the link

Actually the ones I just linked to are cheaper than I'd previously found.

Not something I recall seeing on a retail shelf.
For the price I'd just buy the 6 and bank the other five

Yeh i think I will, the others i was looking at were about 6 quid and its a second hand piece of furniture i bought to use as tool storage and didn't want to spend anymore money on it but 3 quid isn't bad.

The ones that are in their already are too big really and stick out plus ones broken which is the one i want to replace.

Pop into Ikea and grab literally one from the spare parts bins in the returns bit! They won’t even blink an eye. Also you could have a hotdog on the way out.
