I've had a few tenants that used the garage door instead of the front entry. When the power fails they find they locked front door locks that can't be undone from the outside. -By deterrent, I mean Fred, your 7 foot tall rapey-looking cousin. Installing something like that in the house is far more effective than any lock and legal. I may know a divorce lawyer...

They can try. But it’s the same problem as trying to have encryption that only the “good guys” can bypass/break: it’s impossible to do without breaking all digital security. They can ban companies from marketing their services as a means to bypass age checks or other restrictions, sure. ++ URGENT ++ Before I fkg throw/kill/scream/get sectioned, can someone please help?! I'm going nuts. I have guests coming Tuesday, I'm halfway through jetwashing the patio and garden stuff with all the associated muck a half-finished jetwash entails and the bl00dy thing just turned off. Thought it was overheating in the sun, but apparently not. Went and got one off my mate and same happened. Here are the details: jetting away happily, stops for no reason put mate's jetwash into extension lead, doesn't work swapped extension leads, his came on then stopped abruptly changed fuses in jetwash plug, extension lead plug, reset breakers, nothing plugged my jetwash back into a third lead on a whim, works. Connect hose up, turn it back on, cuts out abruptly again swap back to first lead, no joy run extension from summer house as on different circuit, nothing. Plug speaker into extension, it works, so extension and socket are good plug mate's jetwash into extension, nothing test both jetwashers in known good summer house socket, nothing I've reset breakers, changed fuses, changed leads, changed sockets and neither jetwash will now even turn on abruptly. Anything else plugged into the extension leads or sockets works What am I missing here?!?! Something must have tripped/reset/needs resetting/is blown and needs replacing somewhere, but I can't work out where. The only other detail of note is the outside pipe has burst, so in order to just get the job done, I duct taped it and it holds enough for the washer to run (when it DID work) but is leaking. No, it's not leaking onto the extension lead but regardless, the washer doesn't run when plugged directly into a known good socket. For some reason, I have in my head that picture of an earth lead wired to a pipe in the kitchen under the sink or wherever and now have a stupid idea that the leaky tap is causing a fault in some wiring somewhere. But then why would the sockets work for other appliances but not the washer? I'm stumped and could really do with a bailout, chaps. I'm up against the clock - HARD. Appreciate anything at all.
What make is it? If its Karcher mine cuts out regularly due to an airlock, if i remove where the lance connects to the front of the unit and then run it up, it clears it fine and it starts working again. Make sure you have the water off and release any pressure by pulling the trigger on the lance.

I can't find the "big hug and kiss" emoji either, so my words will have to suffice and you can use your imagination for the rest. That's the sort of thing that should really be in the back of the inx book - under "I'm getting no output from my washer" in the bl00dy table. I haven't tried it on the second unit yet, going to finish what I need to do, pray it holds up and then I'll test the second one. I didn't actually even need to disconnect the hose, just squeezed the trigger, it bucked in my hand and released some pressure, then I plugged it all in and it just worked! Nice. Cheers again - and now to pull my finger out to finish the job before the guests get here!
That's good I'm glad it worked. I only find I need to release the pressure if the connector won't come out. I'm pretty sure I threw our old washer away and replaced it because it wouldn't work when it was probably air locked too.
That's a very neat job, I've been tempted to sort some of my draws out with that stuff but never get round to it.
