I agree with christening the house But this goes against ALL the principles of the ladder theory Ok, i'm taking the piss a little bit, but seriously, drop what you're doing? Immediately and always, no matter what tone of voice she uses to get your attention? Like as if anything she has to say is so much more important that what you are watching on tv, it can't wait a minute? I think she did make it clear that it wasn't a super important issue! Regarding the situation in the op, given the topic the girl was upset about, a simple sorry should be enough to satisfy anyone. No matter wether the person talking was the boy or the girl, or whatever the relationship is. I wouldn't get pissed if i'm trying to talk about something, and my girl gets distracted for a second by something shiny or the jungle of her favourite show, and then says sorry to me for it! And i wouldn't expect her to get pissed at me if i did it to her. It's not like the girl in the op was talking about being sacked, or someone harrasing her at the new job, she was just missing her old work mates and hasn't settled in yet
Perhaps make a compromise. Everyone needs a bit of me-time. Unless you constantly ignore her then you need to make improvements. But this is a 16 year old talking...
I did say: when she needs my attention. This means: when she is obviously upset or troubled about something, or indicates that she really needs me to listen to her. Let's not all get too heavy about this. While we're debating this, unknowngamer and his mrs. have already made up and moved on.
I got reminded of this thread the other day when I was with the missus. We were both watching TG while ... paying attention to each other That's every man's dream right?
Nah, that's normal for guys like you and me. It's a dream for all the guys out there that are ***** whipped, not naming any names, or pointing any fingers
UUggghh... I know a few PW'ed guys... Not fun, although quite morbidly amusing to watch, it's sad to see(especially if the guy+girl aren't even a couple)...
