Do SCAN offer any kind of price match?

I am looking to buy several products (£400+) in the next few days but many of them are significantly cheaper (£15+) on Amazon. I have an SCAN account and would love to use them but if the prices are so much higher and nothing can be done then I will have to use Amazon.

Just thought I would ask first just in case...

Nope, consider returns / customer service / delivery when ordering your parts not just price.

Well I will be ordering one way or another over the weekend so a response, even a negative one would be appreciated.

I have to say I am not impressed with the lack of a reply. If nothing could be done to price match then fair enough but at least say something. Worst customer service I have received from SCAN.

Indeed. Never did get a reply.

I actually bought more things in the end and I ordered from the places that were the best deal for me. I did buy a few RAM, PSU and case from SCAN but they lost out on over £400 of other sales.

Most importantly though is that I used to hold SCAN in high esteem and now they are just another etailer. So I will not prefer to use them. A shame in my opinion really.

To save me starting another thread I've a few upcoming builds that I need to order parts from, is it worth asking for discount or just going straight to Amazon (cheaper on the majority of parts).

I see the prices of a few things have risen this past week

When I asked for discount on parts to help me make the Charity PC I'm building a better spec Scan weren't interested, Overclockers gave me some discount though so they ended up getting just under £1000 from that order.

It's fair to point out that Amazon have a 20% advantage over the likes of Scan and overclockers because they're not paying taxes
They also received something in the order of £100m of public money to set up warehouses in Scotland
Companies like Scan and Overclockers have not been given these advantages - personally, I prefer to buy from those two companies (even if it costs a bit more) because of the better service/support/returns/delivery plus they deserve our support.
