I don't see why not, but I can't imagine what I'd use one for now. Back in the PS2 days, I often fantasized about monitor/TV convertors, to run consoles on CRT monitors, but with HD tvs the whole biz is rendered moot (no pun intended).
That little converter won't do you any good at all for an HDTV, if that's what you were thinking. The converter you linked will only work for standard definition. If you want to display HD from your computer, you need one of three things: 1) A TV with DVI or VGA in. This is actually pretty easy to find. 2) A video card with component video or HDMI out. I think things might be different in the UK, at least here in the US, Black Friday is the huge sales and shopping day the Friday after Thanksgiving.
