My sister cooked meatballs earlier today she is fond on using spices and other fancy stuff but jesus christ i could barely eat it... A mouth full of pasta and my mouth was on fire... she admited she got a bit carried away I was sweating like crazy and i could feel a runny nose coming on... Im really not keen on spicy food to the point the food has no flavour but i know friends who love extremely hot currys, you know the ones that stop your taste for about a week and leave you ripping gas for a month... How about you?
Not a fan, no- tikka Masala is about as spicy as I like really, lol. I think alot of this love for really inedible spicy/hot food is just showing off half the time- 'I can eat spicier curry than you can' sort of non-sense;p if all it tastes of is pepper & fire, theres no enjoyment to be had from the meal really...
I love my food spicey, my family sound a lot like you, in that they dont like it too hot. Im the opposite, the hotter the better I think. I do think though that all too often a lot of the time you buy a hot curry they just throw a load of chilli in there for the sake of it. But a curry curry can be eye-wateringly hot and still have a lot of taste , if you get it from somewhere decent!
Yeah I like everything spicy, I eat things that literally make my mates cry. I have always loved chilli's and hot spices so I think I have built up a high tolerance of them.
Always seems like more of a challenge than a meal I went out in the kitchen my sister and her boyfriend had ordered a curry and they were just sitting there hands over foreheads red as beetroots, eyes watering My eyes watered just smelling it from a distance... I like a good curry as much as the next guy but if its any further than the "Mild" labelled bottles im out i can eat it but i never enjoy it Spicey burps are pretty horrible aswell...
I do like a good spicy meal every now and then. If its too often I find it loses its impact and therefore not as enjoyable. Also if my every day meal wasn't easy to eat and satisfying I wouldn't be a nice person to be around. I am worse than a baby if I haven't been fed correctly.
Airsoft gathering tonight, 5 large pizzas got destroyed from all angles, I set my sights on the hot and hit bullseye. My stomach isn't thanking me and those delivery guys must be sick of carrying stacks indoors for us.
If eyes water, noses run, tastes are lost and bowels are quaking then there's something wrong with it. So no, not too spicy. Medium-hot I can deal with, but spiciness doesn't make a meal for me at all, not much point in it sometimes.
Due to several cortico steroids I have had to inhale for the last 20 yrs of my life, I have almost no sense of taste left. Hotness for me is defined as degree of perspiration on forehead. I put Tabasco on everything just to give it taste. Did you guys know that Tabasco sauce will eat the head off of a glass of beer? try it.
I prefer mildly spicy/hot. I don't seek anything crazy on my own but i won't refuse it either if offered.
can't taste anyways, get the foam out and get to the alcohol. Discovered in a Mexican restaurant with Corona on tap. /edit Foam is not becoming on mustache
This is true. I love spicy food ONLY when it is supposed to be spicy. I hate it when people take like, Macaroni and Cheese, and dump in a bunch of Jalapenos and such. Ruins the dish. Curry, some Chinese foods and when I cook Ramen are the only times I like my spicy food really spicy. We have an awesome little place a few blocks from where I work that will make their Chinese food as hot as you want it. General Tso's Chicken + As spicy as possible = My favorite thing to eat on a cold day
