Rant Do you like Widescreen LCDs?

    not backlit, but i certianly don't work in the dark. i've got two halogen lamps hanging from the ceiling pointing straight down, controlled by a dimmer switch on my desk.

    dual screen solves my issues, but I prefer my widescreen merely because of the utility in video games. but honestly it's not that big of a deal, a few years ago web pages were still designed for 1024x768 as that was the lowest common denominator, a widesreen 19" can pretty much display 2 of those side by side

    Uhh, no it cant... 1024 times 2 is 2048. and a 19" is gonna have a res of 1440x900.

    Yea, my room is not well lit. I may have to experiment with the lighting thing...

    A lot of websites are designed to still be 800x600 friendly, so you could get pretty close. Not that it matters with tabbed browsing.
