Better than me, I have a Rube Goldberg machine put mine on... though at least it keeps us entertained while it gets placed.

I have been with my other half for over ten years, 7 years on the pill and three with a contraceptive implant and its all good. The implant is bloody brilliant (pun not intended) as it stopper her periods completely!

I don't think so as the the doctor said it would happen, or they would be erractic, i.e. one every 3 months.

Yes I trust it, when in a committed relationship. It provides a lot more control and stability, assuming the consumer is reliable and trustworthy to have the responsibility of taking and managing the contraception.

It is not suitable as a standalone contraceptive for other situations i.e. new relationships (if having had sex in the past or not with other partners) or to trusting a random girl that they are on the pill if it is a sleep around. Aside from the obvious reasons like STD/I's, unreliable takers who get pregnant... there are issues that personally can be overlooked which is somewhat about if you are a half decent human being or not:

Cervical Cancers - Many girls get jabs these days against it, but in short you could carry a disease that you may have been born with which is completely harmless to you. But can spread like a STD to some women, which is very harmful to them. So... keep it in mind.

Emotional - The pill for many women have big consequences to their emotions. Pills can react poorly and result in depression and drastic mood swings. So if going into a relationship and the pill is your only contraception then be ready to man it up and be supportive and help to get the right pill.

At the end of the day, the facts stand that women only have a 2-3 day period every month where they can get pregnant (half way between their monthly cycle indicated by a change in body temperature) AND.. it is something like 80% efficient as a contraceptive if a man doesn't ejaculate whilst having sex - pull out. So, if you do not trust the pill then there is two natural contraceptives to help.

many versions of the pill and ring give a woman the option to stop her period. my fiancee tried it once with the ring but they just ended up really erratic so i think shes going back on a regular schedule.

As Billy Connelly once said; "Only a celibate catholic priest could tell a man to with draw at the point of ejaculation. There is not a team of wild horses on this planet that could draw my arse backwards at that moment". :D

In other words, buy a condom. :p

I know three (academic) couples that use "Natural Contraceptives" (so no, they're not too stupid to calculate their days and other stuff).
3 couples, four kids in three years time*...nuff said :D

*so at least one couple didn't even learn the hard way

The pill makes for mood changes...yeah it does.
But I can tell you one thing, pregnancy, boy talk about mood changes! :D
My wife's three months away from birth..woohoo, rollercoaster-ride! :naughty:

The implant is probably the best method statistically, but strangely, many girls are reluctant to get a small computerized piece of technology implanted in their arm to control their body. I don't know why. Most guys would jump at the opportunity, it's sci-fi come true.

With all this talk of whether or not the pill is effective, and whether or not all you blokes trust the woman to take the pill, I have to ask how many guys in here carry their condoms in their wallets. It might seem convenient, but all the health professionals I've talked to advise against it because the constant body heat transferred to the wallet can accelerate the natural break down of the latex.

So it seems the follow-on questions are, can you trust a guy to: 1. carry a condom that isn't expired; 2. make sure it isn't damaged; 3. put it on properly; 4. remove it carefully?

    :p

hmm you seem to know a lot about guys.. I was wondering- if I put a piece of plywood down my pants, would that be enough to protect me from rear attacks.. like in a circus bathroom or high scale restaurant

Yes, I do trust the pill. Just know that there are different kinds/doses of "the pill" and she needs to make sure here prescription is working for her. And use common sense.. if she is ill/drunk and throws up, it's likely that her pill isn't doing what it should be doing so rubber-up.

All-right, we get it, you're a homophobic, segregationist bigot - can you stop reminding us with every single post in GD/SD? The joke (if there ever was one) wore off a very long time ago. The LGBT crowd here at B/T would love you for it, I'm sure.

Not to question your tastes, but I personally don't imagine fornication with somebody who is so ill or drunk that they're reduced to vomiting up their biscuits would be all that pleasant (for either party). But hey, if that's what it takes to get you off, who am I to object! Though I would think more than just a single piece of rubber should be implemented for such pleasures...
