What'd you think of the opening episode in the new season?

Personally, I didn't think it was bad but there might be a bit too much humour for proper doctor who.

As cool as the Daleks are, I'm annoyed that they keep bringing them back. They've been killed off countless times, and it seems to me they're just trying to keep the merchandise going by re-introducing them into storylines all the time. Other than that, it was a good episode and I look forward to the next one.

I rather enjoyed the christmas special, but likewise am glad there isnt a permanent spot on the cast for cathrine tate :)

I look forward to the new series, and im glad they keep bringing back the Daleks - there like the arch nemesis the doctor needs - the one race with technology and tactics which will truely rival the doctors.

I almost didn;t watch the special because of Catherine Tate, theres a time and a place for her, and it's nowhere near my eyes or ears.

I'm looking forward to the proper season.

They announced the new Dr Who side kick months ago (About a week after Billy said she was leaving) so was no shock Mrs Tate wasnt staying.

The end clip was kinda cool, but yea, wtf is with the darlek thing!

i want the dudes from the sea again, they rocked so hard!! (the ones that had a round weapon attached to their belt and held in their hand to use...)

oh and if the 199X film was cannon (sp?) the master is dead right, if it is not...

    The Sea Devils.
Technically, they could bring therm back as they're meant to have colonies everywhere (Same with the silurians).

The 1996 film is generally accepted as canon, so yes, the master is dead.
i so wish Roger Delgado wasn't dead, he was the best master ever. He had that role ****ing nailed.

I cant really say i like the latest doctor, he's a bit of a gimp. He's kindah taken the childish and randomness too far, Christopher Ecclestone is a good actor but he was Mr. Serious all the time.. *waits for someone in the middle..*

Personally, I prefer Tennant to Ecclestone, he behaves much more like Doctor Who being childish and serious. However, he is far too energetic and childish to be very good.

Theoretically yes as long as you do not work for the MPAA or RIAA.

    Hehe.

According to the scifi channel's site, season 3 comes to the US in the summer of 2007. I'm assuming it'll come around in July or so. Since the real season doesn't start for you guys until April, 3 months isn't too long of a wait.

Stargate Atlantis has already aired quite a few new episodes in Canada. What I really don't get is how come the networks don't air these shows at the same time! Argh!

I REALLY don't want to wait 7 months for the special episode, but oh well - patience is a virtue, right?

I think The Master will be making a comeback. He's the only other Timelord we ever really saw

    Yes, but
    The Master
is the one non-Doctor Timelord that everyone (who is old enough) remembers. And the Whovians who edit the Wiki articles seem to agree
