Nope, stopped watching it during the last series. They ceased to be fun and I am really not sure who this program is now aimed at as they can be very deep, or surreal of just plain daft.

Pretty much sums up the BBC where I probably can count on one hand the amount of hours I watch anything on the BBC and what makes it worse I have to pay for not watching it.

Capaldi is a good Doctor but, they are trying too hard to be visually flash, while forgetting the importance of telling a good story.

Kronos, you also have to pay every time you buy a product or service advertised on commercial television, whether or not you watch the programmes carrying the adverts.

I think they missed a trick by not capitalising on the stories from the Day of the Doctor and the Christmas special. This series has been far too much about Clara and her relationship with Danny Pink and less about the Doctor and saving the day. Too much introspection, not enough action in my book.

Although, that said, the trailer for the next episode has piqued my interest...

The price you pay for a product or service includes its advertising cost, including on TV.

But anyone who complains about BBC TV should be forced to watch American TV for a day. Your brain will melt.

We don't need to watch American TV so much of the garbage on our TV is American. Even with Freeview I struggle to find something t0o watch on a Saturday night that has not been on many many times before.

What you don't realise is that the stuff that makes it over the channel tends to be the best that the US has to offer.
It gives you an idea of how bad their TV really is. Like Nexxo says, any more than a couple of hours and your brains will be dribbling out of your ears! :D
At least somebody saw sense...I hope.

I daresay Nexxo is referring to the ungodly amount of commercials they show, as well as some of their dodgy programmes. A licence fee is much more preferable than getting that rammed down your throat every ten minutes (or less in some cases!). Their adverts also seem to be so much more annoying than ours.

Sunday was the final of Boardwalk Empire, one of the best shows I've watched in years and yet the audience was little over a million, Honey Boo Boo had almost 3 millions watchers : / Welcome to U.S.A (-‸ლ)*facepalm

I initially enjoyed this season of Dr Who. But after the last episode, and thinking back to some other one's im not so sure.
There is this plot going on in the back ground. I think that the Dr is aware of it when at the end of the episode where he had been stuck in his tardis. Clara asks him if she was a good doctor. He says that she was exceptional. But good had nothing to do with it. Or something to that effect. Maybe he sees something we haven't seen. Or maybe he was referring to seeing himself in her.

Anyway, I agree with a lot of the other comments that Clara is screwed up from what she was before. Maybe that's just her reaction to the new doctor's personality? But I also agree that her boyfriend needs to go away. He doesn't add much. And I find that the conflict between her and her boyfriend and the doctor is just annoying.

Curious for the next episode though.

The sub plot looks interesting and it will be good to get into it, though the doctor does need a new companion, also have to find gallifrey and timelords possibly next season?

And regarding Who, Capaldi is great, but Steven Moffat needs taken out the back and shot.

I poop you not, the guy behind the smash hit ( so they cancelled it at the end of a season and left it on a cliff hanger that needed a miniseries to tie up the loose ends- makes sense... ) Farscape is working on a film version, continuing on where the miniseries ended, but some point in the future.

Anyway, Forest of London episode of Dr.Who was interesting, if not all that exciting, and DarkWater is... pants. Cybermen? The Master reincarnated as Missy/The Mistress? Seriously? I'd love to know how they plan to explain that one, seeing as the Master went back into the last day of the time war with the rest of the time lords on Tennants last show. At least they explained all about the neversphere/afterlife, though it all came in one episode rather than slowly unravelling or building up- like the crack in the universe from chinlords first series...

Don't like the new Dr Who. I'm hoping he needs to regenerate soon.

The only decent Sci-Fi show, together with Babylon 5, to have been produced since Star Trek Original Series.

Dark Water was a bit of a let down. Great build-up, mundane reveal. Missy's character is completely wasted as the Master.

Still unanswered: what was it that Clara originally wanted to talk to Danny about? There were a lot of post-its stuck to shelves, and she was all on edge. What mystery had she unravelled?

Episode started off so well, I liked the gruesome bit about being connected to your old body (cremations) etc.

They just completly ruined it with the cybermen and the "master" I'm so fed up with the re hashing of old ideas is it too much to ask for a new engaging story line.

New Doctor Who? Peter Gibaldi is good, the character is a bit of an arse now though. The stories are as poor as they have been for a few years now. Cyberman eye design for door windows? A bit lame no? The 'Master' stealing dead souls and somehow duplicating bodies to turn into cybermen? How? Why? WTF!!

This is another one of those 'Science Fiction' concepts that the new Doctor Who uses that has zero science at its core and even half way plausible explanations are pushed aside to allow them to squeeze in more 'drama' and/or 'angst'.

They constantly come up with motifs and push them through no matter what. EG girl in red coat running through the woods being chased by wolves... Didn't have anything to do with the rest of the story, they just wanted the nursery rhyme vibe.

Yeah, I think so. The story is always secondary to the imagery. Cue the super loud drama music - The Doctor is going to do something crazy!

Big IF for that one I fear.

We always have a show on the go here, with us watching an episode a night to wind down at the end of the day. (Or two episodes if we're feeling daring)

We're going through Farscape again at the moment, we're down to the last 20+ episodes. Awesome show.

The rumours we named one of our twins after a principle character from Farscape is only partially true... It was more taken for inspiration rather than a straight copy. The small detail that the other twin shares a forename with another lead role is genuinely a coincidence.
