My dad just got a letter saying he is going to be prosecuted for doing 81mph on the A40 in Wales on 03-06-02. It has his registration number on it, but his car hasn't moved from outside his flat in a month due to him having a broken arm and not being able to drive it. It also has two flat tires!! So how the hell have they got his registration number? Has this happened to any of you guys?
But how the hell did they get his registration number? It says it's supported by photo/video evidence, so do you think we can ask to see this evidence?
it was probably a ringer, ie a person put a random numer plate on there car to hide the fat it was stolen) happened to me before & when the coppers sent a letter i simply replied saying that it was a 50cc scooter & no way i could have done 55mph (well thats a lie you can if you kno how) & they back down as it was an estate car they had on camera
This seems to happen quire frequently. I rembember reading about a guy who got a speeding ticket, and the police categorically stated it must have been him doing X mph over the limit somewhere down south, as they had photo evidence..... Until the guy (who was from around here, I seem to remember) showed them the vehicle in question - A Traction Engine! It would have taken him 3 days just to get to the site of the aledged incident!!!
Can u scan it for us to see? Obviously blur out ya person details. Did u guys know that the police can now take digital high res pics of the driver too!!! Big Bother is wayching us

Can't scan because my scanner is fux0red. If anyone is listening who has a reasonable quality, XP compatible USB, Parallel or SCSI scanner please email me. My dad seems to think it's his brother playing a joke but he hasn't seen the letter himself yet and it looks quite official to me.
the SW police are dodgy as ****, my dads up on criminal charges for a motoring offence he never commited. don't beleive anything the police say theyre all masons anyway
i dont trust the police anyway, it once took them a week to arrive at the pub @ the end of my street after the landlady phoned them to say the windows had been put through
no chance someone could have stolen his car and put it back after ? sorry, sounds silly, but I cant think of any other explanation
Thats understaffing and underpayment, don't always blame the bobbys.. You'd miss them if they weren't there..
Sounds like there is a ringer out there , contest it and it will be fine you have more than enough evidence to prove your case , bless the hedlu they aint got a clue
