I plan to over clock to 3.6 ghz so should this pc be good and also overclocked gpu's
You can't link us to your Newegg shopping cart. You will have to post your list/links to parts in your post.
Fixed lol ya pain in ass to do lol so should ram motherboard and all work also if you could fine me a guide to putting all this together it would be great thanks (First time making pc)
change hard drive to a western digital caviar blue or get the samsung spinpoint f1 1TB change gpu's to a 295 or two 275's much better idea change the dvd rom so it has a sata connection change mobo to a asus p6t deulxe change cpu to a 920, 940 is point less just oc the 920 chage the cooler to a thermalright TRUE or a titan fenrir
1. I can't seem to find any of those hd's on newegg.ca 2. I can't get gtx 295 on newgg don't got it what wrong with 2 gtx 285's? 3. Sata connection wtf is that and can't seem find one 4. fixed 5. Also im looking and can't find
1. then get this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136284 2. 285 waste of money might as well get 2x275 or 2x260 or 4870x2, all cheaper solutions and can play evey game @1900x1200 3. get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827129038 change sound card to this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829132005 i would also change your monitor to a dell 2408wfp or nec 24wmgx3 or hp2475w look around on other websites couldn't find any of them on new egg the HP is the best one the NEC and then dell look on different websites for them, they are expensive but well worth the money
Alright and what about cooler ? Edit: Also do i really need monitor changed i really not picky about quality of it. Also do you know a good guide to follow to put this stuff together since this will be my first attempt
I think before you go buying two GTX 285 graphics cards (insane idea) you should know the motherboard you selected dosn't support SLI.
Oh **** really lol thanks for seeing that i was getting close to ordering How about this one: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131365
Also can't get any other things you listed not on newegg.ca im Canadian not American Edit: I found all but sound card on newegg.
Yeh that would be a bummer to find out after ordering, i would sugest if you must go SLI then P6T Deluxe motherboard or even p6T it's cheaper and supports triple SLI. and 2x GTX 275. I also second that the 940 cpu is a crazy pointless waste of cash when the 920 will overclock to what you want no worries.
gamergod05 i emplor you not to buy those speakers get some proper ones, and can you please up date your whole list please so we kmow where you are at
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129043 The Antec 1200 is the same price and I like the airflow setup a lot better than that Coolermaster. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236033&Tpk=ASUS%20MK241H This Asus monitor has a faster refresh rate, the same resolution, and its cheaper. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104178 If you don't have your heart set on a laser mouse this optical Logitech is cheaper and higher rated. This is the mouse I use and I have never had an issue. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371018 It looks like you have quite the budget... but the PSU you picked out is OVERKILL! The Antec Signature 850 is also rather pricey but a good $100 cheaper than your pick. It will most definitely be able to handle whatever you throw at it... even SLI. Aside from that... just listen to everyone else. Lots of solid advice.
- ASUS monitors are a joke. Stay with the HP. - Antec P182 will allow you to have a quiet system thanks to the harddrive suspension system and sound damping panels. Also you have holes for water cooling if you ever decide to do this. And plenty of room for proper air cool. Having a case with mesh or holes everywhere and 50 fans doesn't mean the cooling will be any better than an include environment with 2-3 fans where the air is guided so that hot air comes out properly. That is why we have engineers in life. It is to prevent doing stupid things like a case with 50 fans and holes everywhere. - You buy a high end sound card, and put abysmal speakers. Waist of money. If you want these speakers, just stick with the onboard one. If you want premium sound, get descent ones. Such as the Logitech Z-4's or even better the Logitech Z-2300 speakers set. I think the mentioned speakers will go great with the screen, mouse and keyboard you selected. The CPU is too expensive. You can get the Core i7 920, and easily OC it at 4.0GHz (with heatsink replacement), or 3.8GHz without a heatsink replacement. NEVER touch optical mouse, they all suck. Laser are significantly better. Personally I like wireless mouse with integrated Lithium-ion battery as you don't have a cable that pulls your mouse. I recommend, if you are lucky that they still sell the Logitech G7 with the swappable battery, or more for a buisness and less gaming, the Logitech MX revolution. But these are expensive. As wired mouse, what you selected is a great choice. Antec PSU's sucks. In Canada, my and friends experience with Antec PSU's including the high-end ones tend to (but not all of them) brake soon after the warranty finish. Look for a PSU that has a 5 year warranty. They are many, and usually all very quiet. The brand I recommend is Corsair. But I never tried CoolerMaster. Again, I don't think 6GB is enough for a long term purpose. I would just go with a 9 or 12 GB. But I guess you can upgrade that later. Just make sure when you upgrade that the RAM are identical in speed and timings for optical performance and system stability.
I'm going to go ahead and disagree with almost everything Goodbytes has just said. What, every single one of them? Don't lump all products from one brand into a single category if you don't know about the one in question. I agree here. Unless you're going to be using headphones all the time, in which case you wouldn't need speakers at all. If you think you're going to get good sound out of a $15 pair of speakers then you're in for one hell of a shock. I (kind of) agree with this as well. The 920 is the only sane choice you have, really. If you want to burn money, then be my guest. However, I wouldn't be OC'ing that thing past 3.0GHz on the stock HSF, let alone 3.8GHz. It's a moot point anyway because the OP is getting an aftermarket heatsink, as well he should be on that budget. I'm sorry, but WTF? They don't all suck, far from it in fact. Sure, most of the el-cheapo mice are of the optical variety, but there are also many decent optical gaming-grade mice. The only 'benefit' laser mice have is that they are more reliable at tracking on a wider variety of reflective surfaces (who cares when you use a mouse mat?) as well as offering much higher DPI settings, although these just seem to be competition between manufacturers to see who can reach the highest number - they offer next to no benefit in gaming past a certain point as such crazy resolutions are much too sensitive to be of any use whatsoever (in this regard I'm afraid you've been fooled by a clever marketing gimmick; it's much the same as megapixels in cameras). I've owned an MX518 and now own a Deathadder, and I have yet to notice any significant difference compared with much more expensive laser mice that I've tried. Many 'pro' gamers still prefer to use ball mice and cloth mats - it's not necessarily worse just because it's not as technologically advanced; it all comes down to personal preference and feel. This is without even considering the mouse in the OP is a laser one (G5). Please give a logical reasoning with sound evidence to back it up next time you spout a wildly misguided opinion. The kicker is that wireless mice also suffer from lag, which means wired mice are still preferable for gaming purposes. Again, I'm afraid that you really don't know what you're talking about here. Antec's Signature series PSUs are well regarded and decent performers from what I've read (from people that do know what they're talking about - i.e. not friends).
Rather than get drawn into what anyone else has said by referring to them; - Don't get 2x285s or a 295, it's horrible value for money. Get 2x260s if you must, or be logical and get a 275 and see how that goes. - Get a P6T Deluxe. Great motherboard, supports both SLi and Crossfire should you change your mind at a later stage. - Don't get a 940, it is the choice of idiots. The 920 will do everything the 940 will for much less money. - Get a good cooler. The TRUE 120 with a Noctua NF-P12 would be a good combination. - 6GB of RAM will be just fine for the moment. If you need more later, it will be cheaper by then due to plummeting DDR3 memory prices and it's a case of simply plugging it in to existing slots. As to it being your first build; so was mine. It's easy - just double-check everything that you do.
Just following reviews... It's true that 'suck' was a bad word. I wanted to say they are better ones for the same or close in price. I suppose.... I don't have that CPU, I just follow that has been said. Mouse mat?! Unless you have a glass or mirror, you kinda don't need one. If you do then the mouse is no good, form my perspective. I don't follow marketting, I follow my experience with devices. And my experience with Logitech and Microsoft optical mouse shows that a laser mouse are better. Everyone talks about lag on wireless mouse. I don't know what mouse it used to do this claim, maybe a dollar shop one. But my VX Nano, MX Revolution and MX 1000 mouses from Logitech has NO LAG what so ever when I work or game. Yes, technically there is. You also have interference. But in real time, you don't unless you use your mouse next to a microwave, or control a mouse from the next building. I used my mouse from my bed, as a remote when I play movies and such, and it response all the time. The only mouse that shows a delay after you don't move the mouse for 5 min, is my VX Nano.. but that is a laptop mouse, and it is to conserve battery. That is why my MX Revolution last for a week and half with heavy usage, and my laptop mouse... well, months... It's been 1 month since I have it, and it still goes strong with 65% left of battery life. So this "lag" statement is not visible in real life in normal situations. I'll put your statement with the ones of Monster Cables about their HDMI cables. Yes, I know. I was also told that ASUS had the best service and product in the world. But I proved that this is false in Canada. My personal experience with 6 Antec PSU's, to finally say "Antec PSU's sucks". They make great cases, don't get me wrong. But when your PSU is broken, and call for RMA and say "We don't cover that problem." And rudely hang on you. It tell you something about them. I did try Antec Case RMA service, and eh service was great. It's like 2 different companies. A bit like ASUS. ASUS motherboard in Canada, is just abisymal. For me, it took a long distance calls with several hours wait for a RMA and a wait of 1 month to get my a motherboard replacement. What did I get? An ultra dusty motherboard, and no warranty extension. They are too cheap to even get a air can or air pump machine and remove the dust! Let compare this with different brands: - Logitech: You a new retail box of your product with a new warranty. And you keep your broken product (no need to ship it). - Nintendo: In or out f warranty you get a new Wii and a new warranty from the day you get the system. - Dell: If part replacement of a part was not successful at the OWNERS place at the time and date starting the next buisness day decided by the owner of the system. It's a new system, with liberty to keep the broken system until a new one comes and liberty to swap HDD (if that is not broken) to continue your work and avoid re-install. -BFG: New video card, but you have to send the broken one. But that 7 years ago. I will using it again, now for my GTX 260, and I expect a refurbished one as they have the exchange program thing. Anyway, Antec PSU's in Canada, is no good, let's leave at that.
