I need help chaps and chapettes. Saw the following picture and about died because it looks like a bear, and is probably as close as I can get to having a pet bear - however I don't recognise the breed!

    Anyone got any ideas?

A reverse-google-image search turned up “Chow-Chow”, so maybe that's what you're looking for.
I've read they're pretty fun, but unpredictable dogs.

    EDIT:

Sorry what? You're going to have to repeat that, it sounded like you said you wanted a pet bear :jawdrop:

Each to their own! And here I'd be happy with a chocolate labrador, or even holding onto this little guy longer than the weekend:

His owners (my Aunt & Uncle) are home from their holiday on Sunday so he'll be going home too :(

Bears are awesome, I'd love to take a bear for a walk :p

Sadly, I can't find the pictures of me feeding bears at Whipsnade, but they look so happy.

We've already had the chocolate lab brigade (Three until one had to be put down last year), and while one of them is exceptionally teddy bear like (He still thinks he's a lap dog despite everyone groaning as he treads on bits of them), it's just not the same.

For a brief time I was looking into getting an Ovcharka, but they're expensive, huge, hairy, and apparently not easy to stop when they get somewhat cheesed off. Figured it's not really a family dog.

The misses wants Huskies, so I guess they'll have to do :D
