Other Doing the bungee jump from Goldeneye

So it turns out they filmed this on (or should I say off) a dam in Switzerland only a few hours from where I stay.
When I found that out I roped in some trusting friends ("it's not that high") for a quick day trip to the Worlds highest fixed bungee jump.

220m (721 feet).

Excited? Excited.
Nervous? Nervous.

I'm currently debating what to say going over the edge. I was thinking "Swan dive!"

Anyone else ever done a bungee jump?

Oh wow...yea not so sure I would do that myself lol. I guess I should say have fun? lol and congratulations. Make sure to have a helmet cam and post the video on youtube of you jumping so we can see.

 

I've done a 50m bungee which was great fun, just don't hesitate, when they say "go" or "jump" just do it. Seen a fair few people stand there for 10minutes winding themselves up getting more and more panicky

 

still dont know why he didnt just abseil down.

I've done a few actually when I was in New Zealand.

I had a pretty ferocious hangover so went and did a sky dive and then a bungee afterwards.

I was only slightly anxious about doing it but the guy I went with was crapping himself. It was all on camera and I've never laughed so hard in my life when I saw his face and reaction! I was crying for hours after...

I can't remember the heights tbh but it cleared my head nicely!

Probably because he'd have to pack 721 feet of rope along with him. That could get heavy, even for James Bond.

 

wow, good luck. I've seen that movie tons of times but I don't remember that scene for some reason.

Have fun with the jump. I'm not sure I'd do that one. I don't have a problem with the height, I'd be afraid of smacking into the wall on the bounce but I'd have to see it in person.

Have fun I guess. I've never done a bungee jump, but it looks like a lot of fun. If you're into that sort of thing of course.

 

I half-wish we could see our rep bars, yours and mine, with rep from each other subtracted. It would be embarrassing, I'm sure.

Looks awesome, I'm actually pretty envious despite my fear of heights.

 

I would do a parachute jump in a heartbeat but bungee jumps scare the sh#t out of me. Good luck.

Don't know how many of you remember golden eye on the n64 but the 3d wasnt the best so instead of putting a dodgy looking rope they figured bugger it! no rope at all. He just dives off the damn head first!
