I just got back from this movie and despite my deep hatred for Adam Sandler I loved it. I hate Sandler's whoopee cushion style, but being Israeli, and understanding the jokes, I loved it. I was wondering however how people who haven't been exposed to Israeli culture thought. To me it seemed like 90% of the movie was tailored for Israeli audiences. 90% of the jokes not to mention the wide use of Hebrew, and the Hebrew soundtrack. thoughts?
The Hebrew Hammer was Jewish humor, this one is pure Israeli humor. Let me refine that. The Hebrew Hammer is mostly stereotype (mostly Jewish) jokes for all audiences. This is Israeli jokes that I doubt many people outside Israel can understand.
I saw the trailer for this. It's obviously not out in the UK yet so I'll have to wait, although I'm looking forward to that one with ben stiller, jack black and robery downy junior far more. Can't remember the name, but it looked hilarious.
