you didn't say what 0mega drivers you were using and you didn't say what card you have. I had a ti4200 and the omegas i used, based on det40.72, 42.30, and 44.03 were all flawless. I never had a single problem with any of the ones i used. I have a friend who experienced some strange errors with the shadows in raven shield on some 45.XX driver, i'm not sure if they were omegas or not. Reverted to 44.03 omegas and everything is flawless again. I've tried 44.03's on a number of gf3 and gf4 cards and with almost all popular games and i recommend 44.03 ones to anyone using gf4 cards. Anyway, last time i checked, nVidia omega drivers don't install themselves. You have to install them, and then manually tell your OS so look for the drivers in the folder you installed em to. Are you sure it's not some mistake that you yourself made? I can't imagine why they would screw things up for people after all the positive experiences i've had with them. My little brother is using nVidia omega 44.03's right now, and he doen't have any problems of any kind. Nvidia omegas are based on whql drivers, those are the highest quality drivers, those are the ones that come on the driver cd when you buy it.

Ah, theres your problem then ;) Omega drivers don't support the 5200 line of cards. Believe me, I tried. What you actualy saw was a windows with base video card drivers installed ;)
