Would like to see that list, just to note where the other names are ranked.

The report has apparently been squashed after Riot questioned the statistics. League of Legends sees half a million concurrent players every day just on the western European servers. The DOTA 2 record for highest concurrent player count sits at just over 300,000 globally.

Hmm an impressive number to beat both World of Tanks and World of Warcraft, although it does only cover Europe and US, so no global reach as such.

Too many ways that this could be biased

Run wows numbers on a Tuesday after all raids reset and the numbers would be higher.

Run it on a Monday to see how low it could go.

Only reason Starcraft 2 is not fighting it out is lack of Asia market as its there most played game and I'd take a guess they are a bigger market than either Europe or USA is at the moment.

    Biased numbers are biased.

WoW has easily a million of players loggin in each day. Even EvE Online has 100+k individual players logging in every day.

They need to get rid of their biased tools and start measuring server-client connections directly at the gameservers. Unfortunately this will never happen, so we'll never get unbiased numbers.

I'm just wondering how many people still play WoW if they were to somehow include custom/private servers. I never played proper WoW but did spend a few months on a German vanilla 60 one a couple of years ago with about 20 odd rl mates and it seemed to have a pretty damn strong community back then, I dont know how many people are still on now, don't even remember the server name. I left when I discovered LoL.
