    Hi Chaps,

I've just bought myself an electric razor (first one in about 20years...) and its little docking / cleaning station needs to be plugged in all the time so it can do its thing.

Fair enough, but our bathroom shaver point only has one outlet, and it's built into our cabinet. So It means that the electic toothbrush charger needs to be unplugged for my shaver. This annoys MrsGOO, as she's too short to swap the cables if neccessary (If you're reading this dear, don't forget - you're not short, you're fun sized! ;))

Does anyone know if you can get single to double two pin adaptors? I've googled it to death this lunch time, and found nothing.

And no, I don't mean one of these:

I've never seen a double adapter for shavers before - although if you have one of the standard 110/220V models, wouldn't the shaver work in the 110V socket?

The only other alternative is to plug one of them into a socket in the bedroom. :(

That's the sort of thing I was thinking of! That would be perfect, as it has outlets at 90 degrees to the socket it'll be in, giving the shaver PSU clearance in the cupboard.

    Where did you find that?

The UK shaver plug is much the same as the Europlug, (think the pins are identical) so you could get a europlug gang plug which is what the above is, and both the shaver and toothbrush would have sockets. What I don't know is if the current available from a UK shaver socket would cope, as if its in a bathroom will have a tranformer built in to disconnect the socket from the mains supply.
I'd just buy a shaver to uk three pin adapter and plug the shaver in the bedroom

I would do that - apart from the annoying blue light that shines through the cleaning fluid tank. :)

Bugger - the site allows you to select a UK address, but still asks for a valid French Postal Code. And it won't let you onto the payment page without filling one in... :eyebrow:

Series 5 something or other. I forget the model number.

I went with one of those as I remember my last electric razor was a two disk philips thingy that used to hurt like hell. The Braun seems to be as good as a wet shave and it doesn't sting / hurt afterwards.

    http://www.ukstudentlife.com/Travel/Tours/Berlin/Guide/GermanPlug.jpg,
German plugs are quite similar and are also earthed, the earth connections are the 2 sprung clips
and you could probably find them on-line in double socket form, I know I have an 8 gang extension lead with this format, with a UK 3pin plug on the business end.

just as a side-note shaver sockets are generally fused at 3A

    Double shaver adaptors

I've been looking for one myself and saw this post. The comments about german/french adapters got me thinking so I tried a double UK to european adapter by "Design Go" and just plugged two uk shaver adapters into it. Seems to work fine.

Here's a link to one but all I did was googled "Design Go UK to europe double adapter" without the quotes.

    http://shop.packyourbags.com/acatalog/Adaptor_Duo_UK_to_Europe.html

Of course I wouldn't want to use this if there was a danger of any water getting to the sockets. Mine were inside a cupboard.

    All the best

    John
