Download Speeds (Evil to 56K)

512k ADSL and loving it here, one problem thouh is that there's 3 of us on the back of the router, so mt downloads range from 25kb a sec to 40 depending on what Dad and sis are doing, if however they aren't around then I see downloads of 75 k a sec, a greater improvement over the old 56k Modem and AOL connection.

 

Ok here is a download i did direct from a 2 meg ADSL connection

 

768k satellite connection jobbie, not too bad for my area, downstream only though

usually ~90k/s

Yeh, he does have a point. My connection is 1000mbit to an oc192 backbone provided by Verio (9.2gbit/s). 3mB/s is actually slow in terms of transfer rate, it just happens than not many other people have the kind of connectivity I do.

I used to get 4mbps when I was at imperial college, and 2mbps in my room

U gotta love T3 :dude:

 

on my cable i get 700-1000k
over the network they get from 100-500


when i use my dads t3 i get about 5mb
