    From the BBC

I didn't like her too much in the Christmas special, I'll try to stay open minded.

Its a shame there has been a Rose shaped hole in the last season and it looks to continue. Don't like here much either

I think that they bounced well off each other --his otherworldy (somewhat smug) intellect vs. her down-to-earth take on things. At least Tate's character Donna wasn't just all doe-eyed mooning over her hero, but someone who challenged his decision making.

"Promise me you'll find someone, Doctor. You need someone who can stop you." --Donna

Just as a slight side, why is it that 99% of UK made series' are 13 episodes, where as US ones are 24?

But also, hopefully this will mean that Kylie Minogue will come back in 2009! :D

watching "Dr Who confidential" apparently each series takes 9 months to complete:eeek:
americans throw more money in to it ? don't know

ok, I am going to disagree with most of you as I loved catherine tate as the companion, dry sense of humour and sticks up for her corner to all and sundry, including the poor doctor:D

    but I miss rose:waah:

Most American series' also have a massive gap somewhere in the middle, almost making it two short series' really.

I personally don't like Catherine Tate that much, but I agree with Nexxo, we need someone who has an attitude rather than someone who keeps crying because the doctor doesn't look at her.

Damnit, I was hoping we'd either get Rose back or keep Martha Jones. Wasn't a fan of Catherine Tate at all in the Christmas special.

Freema IS coming back for the second half of the season, after she does 3 episodes of Torchwood.
I found Catherine Tate's character in the Chrismas Special just like all her other characters - annoying! I was actually relieved when the episode ended.

Judging by the response from Radio1 listeners, she is not a popular choice. Her "comedy" is horrid on my ears, and even though she does bounce off the Dr. it's not a welcome change for me.

Semi-OT:- The Register is running a story about John "Capt Jack" Barrowman visiting CERN's new Large Hadron Collider. Publicity or Location shoot?

That only serves to remind me of a clip Tony Blair did in one of her shows, Was pretty funny (though I may have been laughing at him)

*cough* Hardon collider? Sounds like John Barrowman allright.

Chances are it's for Torchwood season 2.
