I am building a wooden computer case as a college and i salvaged a metal drive bay rack from an old case but it is too small, my main problem is that i have 3 120 mm fans mounted on the front and they stick out inside the case so the external 5.25 inch drive bays have to be mounted further back than the 3.5 inch bays, is there any way i can make one or do i have to find another case to dismantle?
I presume you mean the bays for your dvd drive. Mainly all that holds them in place are 2 pieces of aluminum something like this one http://www.mountainmods.com/525-optical-drive-cage-p-539.html. or for HDD http://www.mountainmods.com/120mm-hard-drive-rack-black-anodized-p-415.html So you could make one yourself or cut the one you have up so you can mount it further back.
