I swear this new PC I build gives me nothing but heat :duh:

I keep getting the O-So-Famous BSoD. I get this screen every 2-3 hours or run time. I have updated all my drivers and downloaded all the updates for windows except IE7 and Genuine Advantage junk. I wrote down what the msg says because it includes addresses and lots of numbers, as far as telling what these numbers are or mean I was hoping someone here could help me out with that.

    DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

    Stop, 0x000000D1 (0x00700029, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x862c517e)

    NVTcp.sys - Address B62c517e base at b62cb000, Date stamp 44d7cf20

nVidia driver issues it sounds like. Are you using XP or Vista? Is anything overclocked? Have you tried running memtest and seeing if the ram is completely fine. Try re-installing the nVidia drivers for motherboard and video card. Do not install the nVidia IDE driver if that is an option, I did that on my socket A setup once, BSOD-ed all the time after that.

i used to get this when i was running a torrent downloading program through the nvidia ethernet. When i run it through the marvell ethernet it's rock solid perhaps if you have a board with a different ethernet card try using the other card and see if that helps.

Also you should set your computer to do a full memory dump which you could then analyze with the windows debugging tools to see what happened. Also check your even viewer.

Bad RAM? happened to me when I had some PC2700 running with some PC3200. BIOS decided to run both at PC3200 speeds. Not good.

Run Memtest86+. If this is the case, it'll tell you if your RAM is OK in about an hour, two hours.

I actually ran into that site and removed the Nvidia Ethernet drivers now I'm just waiting to see how it goes, and I'm going to get memtest and run that too.

Btw, ran memtest for 9 hours no errors :)

Great tool, everyone should have it.
