Hi, I had to set up an old computer anew. the drive was not readable, so the "old" drivers on it were not available anymore. The Problem: the motherboard manufacturer doesn't exist anymore. It's an EPOX 8K3A+ board with an Athlon XP 2000+ Does anyone know where I can find drivers for it?
Should be able to get the KT333 chipset and ac97 audio drivers from Via site still. Search for VIA Hyperion 4in1. I'm not sure what other drivers are needed, I couldn't seem to find detailed info about that.
Direct links for XP: Chipset I found 2 conflicting specs on the audio: Via Audio Realtek AC97 (you'll want the "AC'97 Audio Codecs (Software)" link) Highpoint RAID I believe that's all that's needed.
Try a little program called driver identifier. It'll find the drivers and give you links (it'll try and guilt you into donating as well...)
Thx. I've found the 4-in-1 and audio. According to the handbook (yes, I've still got that) there should also be a USB-driver...but I don't see it on the VIA website. Didn't the AthlonXP need a seperate driver? (or was that the Athlon64 after that) I've disabled the RAID...It ran in RAID0 for over a decade, now it's finally failed me, that's why the original installation was unreadable
Fate...(well kindof fate)...passed my door and dropped a copy of Win7. Behold, all drivers included! Gotta love installing new OSes on old systems (The same happened to me on my Win98SE rig when installing XP) I now have a shiny Win7 running on an Athlon2000+ with 1GB memory and an ATI 9600Pro, and it runs well and uses about 50% memory. Bwahhaaaahahaha
