News Dropbox denies account leak, blames third parties

Who uses DropBox these days anyway? If people aren't on Google drive (which is much better) they will be by the end of the week. Goggle also have a 2 point security system that includes a authenticator.

 

I've just moved from Google drive to dropbox, in the last week, due to limitations in the google drive sync client.

I've tried One drive, One drive for business, and Google drive - so now trying dropbox (£7.99 for 1TB)

 

I use Dropbox after trying a lot of other services. Dropbox just works (excepting this leak!).

 

Whoops, this is what happens with the skim ready things! :/

Still prefer Google's Drive however.

 

Google Drive also doesn't have a Linux client; Dropbox does.

 

Like any of that matters, going on what Snowden said recently... "people who care about their privacy should stay away from popular consumer Internet services like Dropbox, Facebook, and Google."

 

I use dropbox, though rarely. I use it explicitly to share files, and to store my archives. I use OneDrive to backup my Documents folder simply because it's readily accessible in Windows 8, but otherwise I don't really have any interest in it. Since I only use Windows for gaming, I find this as a convenient way to actively back up my saves.

The way I see it, anyone who stores anything personal on cloud services is an idiot. Hacking seems inevitable, whether it is publicly known or not.

 

I prefer Dropbox over GoogleDrive. I actually hate GoogleDrives interface and after its numerous updates this year I went back to try it out again, still hate it.

I only use it for gamesaves and a few other bits and bobs so my free 2.5gig is more than enough.

 

Google Drive for personal through force of habit. One Drive for Business at work as it's what we provide (even though it's utter, utter *cough*)!

 

I want a cloud service that syncs the files on both my phone and desktop that doesnt require me to choose every file individually on the phone. Is there any like this? as dropbox and google drive dont.
