Nice and sharp. I think I prefer the first two as the complimentary background works better than the third. Also, the blemish in the leaf in the third photo distracts a little bit from the overall image. I think the first one is my favorite. It has a simplicity that makes it elegant.

Have to say I think the first two are under-exposed or under-lit. I don't really care for any of the backgrounds as I think they disturb the subject.
Colours, focus and lighting definitely works best in the third. Though the closest leaf (grass?) somehow distracts.

I think a warm yellow or deep red or maybe even a black background would do a lot for the subject. Though not necessarily having to be uniform perhaps quite the contrary.

Hopefully not too harsh :) You take some great pictures and I reckon that with your mastering you could take the critique ;)

    Cheers!

Really sharp... but you should try and get something of interest in the droplet, such as a flower head or similar.

That was the plan, but all the flowers in the garden have blown away or died with the frost.
I'll have to go flower hunting:worried:

    Nah, not really.
Yes the camera is an SLR, but it's an older Canon 300D and a not very expensive lens, but I did recently get a set of extention tubes quite cheap that help a lot with close up macro stuff.

I like the 3rd one the most, i agree with the comment about the blemish but it's not that bad, a drop over that would look pretty good, very very nice work as always yoda, still not as good as that rose you did a while back, that was my favourite shot of yours.

The bokeh of #1 is great, but I think that it may be better composed in portrait/vertical position...do you have a non-cropped copy to post?
