Cooling Dry Ice / CO2 Simple Cooling without Condensation

    i dont know how hot the room can get but air cool and water cool wont get you anywhere below room temperature.

    about the dry ice.. i assume you have to add some new dry ice once very 2 week(maybe?).. why not just move the server to somewhere else? like a closet or something. you dont have to move it back when winter comes.. so its a one time job.

    I really don't see your argument. A nice cooler can be had for ~$20 or less and his dry ice is free.

    Braze? Are you kidding me? I doubt this person has that kind of equipment or the knowledge to do so, and if he were to go out and get it + the training, it would cost him quite a bit more than the $60 you were stating.

    You really can't just look at your own situation and assume everyone else is the same. A little short sighted if you will.

    Anyway... like I said in my original post. I'd dump this idea and just move the disks some place else. Just make backups of the important data and if the HDs go poof, use the warranty.
