Got a copy of vista and I am trying to dual boot it, the only problem is Vista requires it to be on the primary partition and wants to mess with my Xp(name it to .old or something. Any free program I can use to partition it?
I use Partition Magic 8, it's not free, but it does a good job. PM8 only runs under XP, and don't expect any updates... it's a goner application... A very good one shamefully. This is what I did, under XP, I created a new primary partition, then installed Vista on it, then POOF, Windows Vista RC2 (for me) created a dual boot menu for me. That simple.
