right can you please STFU about this, I've sent a replacement 4870x2 waterblock to capriboy FOR FREE to cover the one that got lost in the post, okay? I didnt have to do that, but I didnt want this to get out of hand. so dont put comments like that in my build log thread! its neither relevant or true!

okay guys, help needed from you creative types :D
so, the right hand side bays need something to cover them since i can no longer put the standard bezels in there.

I decided that what would work was a 2mm peice of alu/steel the height of 8 bays and the standard width. I could then attach this to the front fascia, thus solving the problem and prettymuch completing the pc.

you can see the problem here (apologies for the poor quality photo, it was done in a hurry)

so, what i need your help for, is I can't decide what I want there. Should I just get it done in one plain white cover? Or would it look better in black? should I even get a design/ text lasercut into it? any designs or opinions you guys have would be massively appreciated :)

heres what you have to play with to get the idea (its probably the worst photoshop job i've ever done :p )

    thanks!
    Nick

    Impressive !:jawdrop:

Are you using watercooling and phase change?
    or just phase change?

Could get it from the photos please explain me how your system is going to be cooled !:thumb::rock:

    thanks guys :thumb:
@raiden, The phase cools the CPU, and the motherboard and GPU have a watercooling loop each, theres a 120.1 cooling the motherboard and a 120.2 cooling the GPU :)

How do you avoid condensation with this bad boy then?

Must be honest I'd love to have a go with one myself!

first, I coated the socket area with vaseline, then the back of the socket, and also you put vaseline directly into the motherboard cpu socket. This helps to stop condensation when running 24/7 sub-zero cooling.
I then applied a layer of artists eraser putty around the CPU and socket, forming an airtight seal around the components.
Then On top, for extra protection / neatness I put a layer of black neoprene :) also there is a neoprene gasket between the backplate and motherboard. :)

Is it wise to use the two ram slots closest to the phase cooler? Condensation and all.... or does your motherboard require you fill those two slots first?

However, Been following for some time man and i have to admit it is a very very good quality build - very impressed.

Always wondered why you went AMD though......

yeah I did some digging online and it is alright if you've insulated well enough :) I've had no problems so far

Its much cheaper, the white waterblock availible for the board matched the build, and the amd chips like cold temps more than intel :)

    thankyou!!!:thumb:
