hi all! i've a question for you guys, and i think you can easly help me clearing my head of this.. i'm modding a case, and therefor, i'm going to use some fans/neons and i was wondering if i can get two PSU working.. like this: 1st PSU: system[motherboard, gpu, ram, hard drives, optical drives, etc] 2nd PSU: fans, neons, leds.. is it so complicated that i am that bilnd so i can't figure it out, or is that so damn simple and i'm playing dumb? please give your opinion, even if you'r not 110€ sure about it. regards
all you need to do is connect the green wires together on the two power supplies, and any two of the black wires together. this causes both to come on at the same time. I would however recommend using one psu for Mobo, Hard drives, then one for GPU, CDROM, lights. this is because the load drawn from LEDs and Cathodes, Fans etc is very small, and almost insignificant.
hm.. i supose that this is what you'r talking about.. "dual psu and test psu : a how to guide." by: Big_Adam http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=108208&highlight=psu could it be that simple as you'r sayin? i guess i'll try with an old psu first, just in case.. thanks m8
