In 2006 In 2007 11 March, 2008 Note that they still have some sand to build more towers on it. They will never stop. Any way I just live in Dubai. and even all money I have can't make me have fun in Dubai But I can have fun in Egypt, MY Lovely country
The Burj Dubai is a fascinating building from an architectural POV - it's got a very high upper-limit for the number of floors they can put on it, and as CK says, there's no confirmed number yet. If they get word that someone's trying to build a bigger building they'll hammer a few more on to see if they can win.
I can see something happening to Dubai in the future that will shock the world in some sort of bad way, it's just a feeling I have about it. Egypt is the same to be quite honest, the amount of buildings and villa complexes that have been built in the last 5+ years is amazing, land prices and villa prices have shot through the roof.
From an economic point of view it seems stupid to build such a high and expensive building when there is so much empty space around it. The only reason NY has such high buildings is because its full.

I think I can have about half an ounce (a lot) of dope on me and get less fine than a speeding ticket for it. There you can have microscopic amounts and get 3 years in prison for it. Also there is hotel that looks like the deathstar they are planning somewhere around there, look that up.
