Gaming Duke Nukem Forever Hands-on

So true, that's all I want & expect from this long long long awaited game, good looking & sounding semi mindless fun by the bucket load .

 

I'm really looking forward to Duke Nukem Forever. I'm pig-sick of po-faced, serious FPS such as Call of Duty, etc. and will welcome something that is humorous even if the gameplay mechanics are dated. Never hurt Serious Sam did it?

Last I heard it was on the unreal 2.5 engine, this still true? If so I hope they ship an editor with it.

it would be nice if the demo came out this year instead of sometime next year. I mean its not fair to tease this much and still give nothing but aged screen shots. ><

It will be a sad day when this is released. Things just wouldn't be the same if it wasn't perpetually 'In development'.. Hopefully some legal issue will arise, postponing release until the engine is so dated that it needs a complete overhaul.

 

come on man, it's 2010 and with a name like Duke Nukem you think you would get a choice of strategic or tactical nuclear weapons to make mushroom cloud party snacks outta those PIG COPS!!

 

There should at a bare minimum be:

-boobsicles
-rocket launcher
-unlimited amounts of money to throw at hookers
-shotgun
-decapitated aliens-
-amazingly amazing quotes
-the original theme song
-a rocket pack
-fantastic boss battles with gory cut scenes

If those things are included then the question of my shelling out the cash for DNF isn't a question at all. Just show me where to sign and they can have the money.

Personally I'd also like to see everything in the game being able to be destroyed/explode in an exaggerated way... plus a Duke tee-shirt would be pretty neat

 

Awwww, I rush home to get to my access code, I put it and join and I get to see all these pretty thing but then where the Demo should be its stating I will have access in the future when the demo is released >.< bah!

I hope it doesn't turn out to be another Doom 3 with linear hallways, simple button pushing puzzles and stale combat.

 

This is the best game ever - I give it a 10/10, it's a shame most of you can't play it.
