I'd say give them another Vaporware award, regardless of what they demonstrate other than the final product ;)

 And here I was thinking it was Duke Nukem Fornever :p

Those were the last versions I enjoyed. The 3D version was a HUGE change in several ways (and the first game to introduce me to motion sickness via FPS). :sigh:

The only time they release any news about DNF nowadays is when they are just about to release a crappy new title and they want some free advertising for it.

It doesn't matter how good it is anyway, it will still be a big let down, we've been wating way too long.

Why hasn't anyone remade DN3D for Source?, that would be good :D

Cool little trailer, the graphics are for lack of better word(s) 'not bad'.
I can't wait for the game though.

I echo the sentiments above really.
I'll still play it but it looks very "last year", shame its not on the U3 engine really.

Having watched it again, Dukes face looks kinda odd. There is something about it that I cant really put my finger on but it kind of looks like they mapped a square face onto a cylinder or something. I cant quite put my finger on it though.
Ok Doug, how about source? :p

    ::edit::

I think I've figured it out

    1) Skin is too shiny
    2) Forehead is too high
    3) Face is too cylindrical
    4) The hair is wrong, its too "tall" and it should come down in a slight "V" in the middle
    5) His head is slightly too narrow.

    I don't think UE3 is overrated. I think it's underused... Anyways...

Well, duke nukem was a "CULT" not because it was a terrific game, but because it was really funny! I remember when u kill a boss (second one i think) u chop his head off, lower your pants, sits on it, open a newspaper and start singing the duke nukem them (as some do in the toilet). That was chocking and funny for the time.

    Quoting duke nukem:
"I am here to kick ass and chew bubble gum. And I am out of gum"
    hehehe really funny!

the whole "shiny" skin thing is very Quake 4/Doom 3. And UE3 is significantly flawed unless you're the original developers you can't make anything good.

I'm very impresed actualy the feel remains the same as duke nukem 3d and the animations on the monsters and muscles look very well done, also duke looks like he did in DN3D and the whole stupid but amusing one liners thing reamins. If they actualy ever do get this game out there and this trailer is any indication of final quality it should be good. Also those complaining of not amazing graphics... crysis and ut3 are comercial flops becuase of the over the top graphics meaning the people of bit-tech are among the few that can run them! using an older engine is a veyr good idea as most people only have intigrated graphics :|

hate to sound like a traditionalist and all, but i think it's the gameplay that's going to be the most important thing, not the graphics engine. I mean it's taken so long to make this thing, we're all expecting something very high quality, if not revolutionary. And in order to do that in the graphics department it's going to have to be on a par with UE3 or Crysis, which let's face it isn't going to happen. But there are plenty of games that, whilst not doing anything revolutionary, have pulled together some of the best bits of gaming very well. So I'm very interested to see a proper gameplay trailer. If they make it super polished and full of character, then they may still pull this thing out of the bag i reckon. Other than that, I'm not expecting much...

I'm looking for some alien toilet to park my bricks! Who's first?!
Classic punchline. I've played every installment of the Duke Nukem franchise since the early 90s. Even the ones on the Nintendo 64. Love the game since it was simple, fast, fun, and above all funny.

He's even still wearing the OG ganster glasses from the early 90s

Downloading the teaser now. DN3D is what got me into FPS games from the very beginning. How many new games allow you to freeze your opponent in mid air while he's flying around with the jet pack on, and watch him fall to the ground and shatter into a million pieces? LOL gawd that was funny!

I will wait patiently for the release of the game, just as I have for the last 10 years.
