I can use my DV Camcorder as a webcam, and everything is fine, except for one problem. Before I update to SP1 on XPH the cam works fine, but when I update, the cam sizes down and auto zooms in like 30%, and even if I zoom out on the cam, it still zooms in about 30%. Before I update to SP2 though it's fine. So, I assume it's a driver or something it's updating. Anyone know what this is so I can remove the driver, or at least roll it back to it's older version. The camera is a JVC GR-DX27EK, running XPH SP2 on a DFI SLi Ultra 4gb ram, 3700+ @ 2.8Ghz with a 1900XT-X with 250gb Sata HDD.
it's probably an issue with how windows handles device control for you camera. do you have any stream switchers installed like morgan. I am not sure if it's related but i know on my setup if i have any stream switchers installed i can't capture from premiere elements. BTW my setup: Samsung SCD23
Hmm, I have the "k-lite codec mega pack" installed. Perhaps it's this? Though it worked when I had the codec pack installed before SP2.. Hmm, will have to try next re-format.
