HI all, This one I just can't fathom. I have just bought a JVC GRDVL 166 digital camcorder. So I decided to put in the 1394 board and loom supplied with the Mobo ( connected 1394 1 to full size port). I then connected up the camera powered it up and then booted pc (enabling 1394 support under BIOS on the way). I then installed the supplied intervideo package which includes wincoder which according to the help files supports 1394 capture. However there is no sign of support for this capture method just web cam and tv card show up. I have reinstalled rebooted and checked as much as I can think of. According to the help file there should be a DV control panel but again there is no sign of this again indicating a problem on my part. Under device manager the 1394 host and netorking adapter are shown as enabled and working ok. ps win xp home sp1. Unfortunately I have no other 1394 devices to test if it's the camera or pc at fault so at this stage I'm blaming a software setting, I just don't know which LOL. Cheers sailor.
