dvd burner?

what is the best dvd buner for the price? i want a multi drive and able to do 4x burning on both format or at lesat is able to flash it to that speed. thanks i been looking at the pioneer a05 and a06

 

I believe either those two or the Sony DRU510A are the best for what you need.

what is that technology called that they can squeeze more data in teh blanks by having smaller pores? kinda like blue lazer but on dvd-recorders

 

It's called DVR-Blue or something similar. I know that Sony, Phillips, Tobisha and NEC have been involved. It's similar to DVD but uses a blue laser, dunno how it works exactly, they claim it offers about 30gb per side. Not out yet though.

Sony Model DW-U10A seems to be highly recommended. ~$230 i think

 

If you don't mind having no firmware upgrades. Unless you flash it to a 510A.
